History

A dream four years in the making, the Hangar Performing Arts Center is Parsons' premier venue for theatrical, musical, and dance performances.

Originaly constructed as an airplane maintenance hangar, at the now abandoned Scott-Gibson Airfield.

Construction begins in 2002 on new regional airport in Darden, TN. In 2006, Beech River Regional Airport opens and Scott-Gibson Airfield is decomissioned.

From 2011 to 2013, the space was used by a small manufacturing company.

In 2014, renovations began to convert the space into a performing arts center.
